Meet Orielle, the Heart Behind Oh Customs

Hello, my name is Orielle, and I am the owner and CEO of Oh Customs Shop. My journey with crafting started at a young age, and I’ve dabbled here and there over the years. During the pandemic, crafting became a way for me to relax and stay busy. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into a business to help support my family. I make every order myself, from start to finish, and it truly warms my heart knowing I’ve created something special for someone else.

Living with lupus and fibromyalgia, this business means a lot to me. On days when my health challenges me, I still have the opportunity to be my own boss and do something meaningful, even if I can’t move around much. My children help me on days when I’m not feeling my best, as well as on days when I am, and I’m so grateful for their support. Crafting at home gives me the flexibility I need to keep going.

I’m a proud mom to six children, a bonus child, and a grandmother to one. Family is everything to me, and I believe it’s that support system that has helped me push through tough times. I’m a fun-loving, kindhearted person, and people love that about me. I tend to keep that side to myself until I feel comfortable around others, but once I do, I’m all about having fun and spreading positivity. Born in NYC and raised in New Jersey, I’m proud to call myself a Jersey girl.

I’m 44 years old and a Black woman who speaks from the heart—down to earth, but with a little flair. My true passion lies in creating high-quality items that bring joy to others and stand the test of time. What really excites me is crafting custom pieces with a special meaning behind them. Whether it’s a personal story or a meaningful occasion, I love the connection I get through custom work.

Since starting my business and engaging on social media, the people who know me have started calling me "Oh," and I can’t tell you how special that nickname is to me. It brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. Interacting with my customers and getting to bring their designs and ideas to life is one of my favorite parts of the process.
